Childbirth & Newborn Care Series (Mon - Wed)
This four-night class is designed to provide information needed for labor, delivery, care of yourself after delivery and immediate care of the newborn.

A coach/support person should attend all classes with you. Plan to finish the series four weeks before your due date. A tour of the Birthing Center is included. After attending this series, participants will be able to: - Identify warning signs in the third trimester of pregnancy
- Indentify signs and symptoms of true vs. false labor and be able to time contractions
- Identify when to contact their physician and come to the hospital
- Describe the stages and phases of labor
- Demonstrate comfort measures that may be used while in labor
- State routine labor care and methods of pain relief available at CMH
- Describe medical interventions that may be utilized during labor and delivery
- List reasons a cesarean section may be necessary
- Describe routine hospital care and recovery process of mom during her hospital stay and once home
- Describe routine hospital care and recognize physical and behavioral characteristics of the newborn at birth
- Verbalize normal feeding and sleeping patterns, waking and calming techniques for baby
- Demonstrate how to hold, swaddle, burp, and diaper baby; take an auxillary temperature
- Describe the transition to parenthood period and how to promote fathering

Polycystic Kidney Support Group
This support group provides a forum for patients, family and friends to come together to learn more about polycystic kidney disease and share personal stories and discuss transplant process and current drugs and research for a cure.

Polycystic kidney disease (PKD), the most common inherited life-threatening disease, affects more than 600,000 Americans and an estimated 12.5 million people worldwide — regardless of gender, age, race or ethnic origin. PKD appears in two forms — autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD), which is the most common and affects one in 400 to 500 adults, and autosomal recessive polycystic kidney disease (ARPKD), which is more rare and affects one in 10,000 people at a younger age, including infants and children.
Meets the first Tuesday of the month.

This class is for you if you have a family member or friend that is experiencing memory issues or a recent diagnosis of Alzheimer's Disease/Dementia.

Families of the Mentally Ill (NAMI) Support Group
This support group is for famlies, spouses, relatives and friends of people determined to have mental illness/depression, bi-polar disorder, anxiety, schizophrenia and other mental disorders.

A psychiatric or psychological condition regardless of cause such as schizophrenia, depression, manic depressive or bipolar illness, anxiety, personality disorders and/or adjustment disorders or other conditions. These conditions are usually treated by a mental health provider or other qualified provider using psychotherapy, psychotropic drugs, or other similar methods of treatment.

DBS Support Group
This support group is for people who have had deep brain stimulation surgery and their families and/or caregivers.

DBS is a surgery for patients with a movement disorder that is not responding adequately to medication. These disorders include individuals experiencing symptoms associated with Parkinson’s disease, essential tremor, dystonia and more. Meets the second Saturday of the month at Small Stones in Brookfield. There is no meeting in July or August. No registration required.

The Women’s Fair features shopping and dining opportunities, vendor booths, seminars and demonstrations on wellness and lifestyle topics. New this year, the “Wellness Oasis” will include chair massages, health and wellness information, “Ask the Doctor” sessions and interactive health displays.
Seminars (45 minutes each) will include topics such as:
“Keeping Active at Any Age” presented by Stacy Lynch, MD, West Bend Clinic
“Memory Loss – How Can I Avoid It?” presented by Lawrence Sullivan, MD, West Bend Clinic

Big Brother / Big Sister (Ages 2-7)
This class prepares children ages 2-7 for the arrival of a new brother or sister.

Children need to prepare for the birth of a new brother or sister. They may wonder where he/she fits in when the new baby comes. During this class, your child(ren) will have the opportunity to: - Share what they have done to prepare for the new baby
- Explain what a new baby looks like
- Verbalize three things new babies can and cannot do
- Safely touch, hold, and play with a new baby
- Verbalize three ways they can help care for the new baby
- Join in activities that will help celebrate being a big brother or big sister
- Tour the Birthing Center to see where mom is going to stay when she has the new baby
One or both parents need to stay with the child during the class. Dolls are provided at class. Cost of the class is $12 per child if delivering at CMH, $24 if delivering elsewhere. To register, contact Careconnection at 262-251-1001.

Peripheral Neuropathy Support Group
This is a support group for persons with peripheral neuropathy. All are welcome. The group offers speakers and information about different ways to live with the limitations that this disorder causes them.

A disorder of the peripheral nerves, usually involving the feet, hands and sometimes the legs, arms and face. Symptoms may include numbness, tingling or burning sensations, pain, abnormal reflexes, weakness and partial paralysis.
Meets the fourth Monday of every month. Does not meet in June, July, August, or December.
