More than 130 golfers headed to the beautiful Geneva National Golf Club on June 15, 2010 for the 12th annual Community Memorial Foundation Golf Classic. Unfortunately, rain cancelled the golf after 6-8 holes, but that did not dampen the spirits of the many who stayed on for cocktails, dinner, raffles and auction bids.
Despite the rain, more than $73,000 was raised for the Heart and Vascular Center at Community Memorial Hospital. Special thanks to co-chairs Susan Templin and Bill Burkhart for their dedication and teamwork in pulling off another fine event.
In addition to awarding 22 hole prizes and numerous raffle prizes, $1,000 in cash was given away to Phil Jensen, the lucky winner of the cash raffle.
