Community Memorial Foundation

Community Memorial Foundation is the fund-raising arm of Community Memorial Hospital in Menomonee Falls, supporting projects that would not be possible without your contributions.

Each year, hundreds of patients receive benevolent care at Community Memorial Hospital. In addition, more than 50 percent of our patients are insured through Medicare and Medicaid. These two programs only reimburse 60 cents per dollar for the actual cost of care. The combined cost of benevolent care and government reimbursement shortfalls totals more than $35 million annually. This cost increases annually as longer life spans mean greater health costs even in our healthy community.

Your gift helps preserve important health care services like nutrition supplements to cancer patients, free blood pressure screenings and the parish nurse program. It will also help Community Memorial Hospital remain a private, not-for-profit hospital that can provide affordable, quality health care to your community.

Our Mission

Community Memorial Foundation promotes and enhances the health of all individuals in our community through the development and management of resources in collaboration with the mission of Community Memorial Hospital. (Adopted Jan. 2004)

The mission of Community Memorial Hospital of Menomonee Falls is to improve the quality of life and meet the comprehensive needs of the community by providing high-quality, safe, cost-effective health services. Our exceptional employees, volunteers and dedicated medical staff work collaboratively to serve our patients with compassionate, dignified and state-of-the-art care. Community Memorial Foundation, a 501(c)(3) entity, is headed by a dynamic Board of Directors who lead our efforts to energize the community about the innovative and life giving services at the hospital.

You can make a difference

The Hospital has flourished, thanks in part of the work of the Foundation and donors like you. Here are just a few examples of how a donation can make a huge difference in the lives of others:

• Donations support the nutrition supplement program for the Cancer Care Center. Cancer patients receive, free of charge, nutritious beverages to supplement what they eat. These supplements are an important source of nutrients to help the patients stay strong while they focus on their cancer battle.
• A special gift from a local family supports behavioral health patients who stay at the Hospital to heal both physical and emotional issues. Whether it's the need to replace broken eye glasses or received needed medication, this extra support makes all the difference to patients who find themselves at a difficult place in their lives.
• An Altrusa Fund takes its name from altruism, selfless regard or concern for the well-being of others. This important fund provides needed resources to patients who are without transportation to return home or have been without nutritious food. It also helps make vital prescription medications available to those in need.
• Gifts, large and small, directly benefit the patients who seek care at Community Memorial Hospital. A former hospital employee who worked at Community Memorial as a high school student pursued a health care career as a physician. Today, he makes annual gifts in memory of his mother.
