Tours of the Birthing Center are available two evenings each month.
An interactive class designed for children aged 2-7 who are expecting a new baby in their family. In addition to watching a fun video about becoming a "Super Sibling," children and parents participate in various hands-on activities together. A tour of the Birthing Center is included.
Designed to provide information on breastfeeding, newborn behavior and making your breastfeeding experience a positive one. Father/support person is encouraged to attend.
A four-week series helps the teen or single parent and their labor support person(s) prepare for labor and delivery, care of self and baby and going back to work or school. There is a $15 book fee donation. For more information, call Pregnancy Support Connect at 262-524-4120.
A three night series for the expectant mother and her coach that covers labor, comfort measures, birth, postpartum and newborn care. An interactive web-based book is included for further learning and review at home. Plan to finish the class at least four weeks before your due date. A tour of the birthing center is included. Fee: $60/couple if delivering at Community Memorial; $120 if delivering elsewhere.
A condensed version of the weeknight childbirth education series for those who want to receive prenatal education, but are unable to attend the regular weeknight series. A coach/support person should attend all classes with you. Plan to take the class four weeks before your due date. Please bring two pillows and a blanket to class. Cost is $75 per couple if delivering at CMH and $150 per couple if not delivering at CMH. Cost of the class includes lunch.
This one night class is designed for those who need a quick review of childbirth preparation or have delivered at a different hospital previously. The class is tailored to meet the specific learning needs of those attending and includes a tour of the Birthing Center. Plan to attend this one-session labor/delivery review four weeks prior to your due date.
A two-hour class designed for those who want more in depth instruction and practice with natural comfort measures for labor and birth. This class will include proper body mechanics for late pregnancy, relaxation exercises, breathing, massage, visualization and more. Some practice time will occur in the birthing center to allow participants to better prepare for their upcoming birth experience. Class is offered every other month on a weeknight. Fee: $20/couple if delivering at Community Memorial; $40 if delivering elsewhere.

A gentle, soothing technique, infant massage strengthens the bond between parent and baby as it helps develop better sleep patterns, improve digestion and calm a fussy baby. This comprehensive babysitting skills class is for students age 11 or over. The program will include: child growth & development, creative play, home safety, injury prevention, police and fire safety, sitter responsibilities, infant care, first aid, Heimlich Maneuver, Super-Sitter's video, post test, program evaluations, and certificates. Be sure to bring a baby-sized doll to class. Lunch is provided.
